    Vasarely Foundation

    Cinematic art.

Right in the heart of Provence, facing Sainte-Victoire in Cezanne's landscapes, is Aix-en-Provence's Vasarely Foundation, created in 1976. The building's exteriors are inspired by the Bauhaus movement.
Victor Vasarely's most celebrated works are to be found in the Foundation; taking the form of monumental displays which allow visitors to fully appreciate the exceptional contributions Vasarely brought to abstract geometric art under the name of Cinematism.
Vasarely was one of the sponsors of this movement, as well as his son Yvaral, a visual and graphic artist.
Works to be discovered and re-discovered…
