    Science is child's play!

Established in 2005 by the General Council of the Lower Rhine, the Vaisseau ("vessel") is a discovery space which invites children (ages 3 and up) and adults to make science fun. The origin of life, the animal world, how the senses work, principles of physics... Here everything can be touched and moved, allowing visitors to learn and understand while having fun.

The tools of mediation take many forms: bilingual team leaders (a huge number of German visitors come to the Vaisseau), a garden, interactive tools, 3-D movies, live shows…

Concerned and active in the areas of disability and Ecology, The Vaisseau offers activities suited to disabled visitors and publishes its annual Agenda 21.
