    Tour Magne

    Gallantly from the Tour Magne to Nîmes.

    The Tour Magne (Great Tower) was built around an Iron Age tower of dry stones of which there remains no trace.
    A regular octagonal shape, it was in around 15 BC, before our era, made up of three levels built set back one from another, on top of a base.

    Today, the last storey has disappeared and it stands at a height of 32 metres. From its summit, the view over Nîmes is remarkable.
