    Les jardins de Valloires

A garden of collections and a collection of gardens.

A visit to the Valloires Gardens, with its huge variety of plants and shrubs, is a non-stop feast for the senses. The gardens, situated next to a remarkable Cistercian Abbey, are home to over 5,000 different species, (many from Asia), arranged according to decorative criteria.

Thus, within the well-ordered, square rose garden, there are useful plants, used for medicinal purposes, mixed with varieties of modern and ancient roses.
The Island Gardens - an English garden - contains 16 different flower beds while the Evolution garden retraces the history and life stages of plant life.
The Sensory Garden is classified according to smells, colours and even taste.
In the Marsh Garden, the focus shifts from land to water and the vagaries of nature.
Here, the cultivation of the mind is a constant delight!
