This is one of the largest museums in France and is situated within the former residence of the dukes of Burgundy. Don't miss the tombs of Philippe le Hardi and Jean sans Peur, the collection of German and Swiss primitives (the most important in France) and the collection of French paintings, rich in artists dating back to the time ofLouis XIV, not forgetting the collection of contemporary art.
On the way past, go and see the ducal kitchens which include six enormous fireplaces.
