Rendez-vous in the park du Bois des Moutiers

    Blooming wonderful.

In the charming village of Varengeville-sur-Mer, Normandy, the thirty-acre Bois des Moutiers estate is the product of the partnership of British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and garden designer Gertrude Jekyll. The manor house and seven formal gardens, which overlook the sea, date from the turn of the twentieth century and were inspired by the Arts and Craft Movement.

Today, the estate is home to an impressive variety of Himalayan rhododendrons, Turkish azaleas, Japanese maples and Chinese magnolias, which have been introduced and naturalised among local flora.
