    The Marais Poitevin is one of the largest marshes in Europe. It is near the Ile de Re and La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast.
    It offers a mosaic of landscapes:

    - the Bay of Aiguillon and the coastline, a paradise for birds,
    - the drained marshes and open landscapes,
    - the “Green Venice”, a real cathedral of greenery with its maze of waterways.

    Discover the Marais and its wealth during a trip in a boat or a bike ride, visiting its reserves or abbeys, or simply enjoying its typical recipes. These are activities that will delight young and old alike.

    The Interregional Park of the Marais Poitevin has established a network of sites for visiting the Marais Poitevin. It groups 10 sites that are committed to a quality approach with criteria relating to the reception and care of visitors, information, communication or services.

    The large site of the Marais Poitevin was the winner of the EDEN contest in 2010 EDEN with the theme:  “Tourism and Aquatic Areas”.
